| Assistant Instructor: Tim Soar, 3rd Dan |
|

Tim started his Aikido training at London University in 1985. Since then he has continued his training whilst living in Oxford, Brighton and,
from 1993, Swansea. He achieved his present grade of third dan in 2001. In the Spring of 2004 Tim fulfilled a long-held ambition to visit Japan to practise Aikido. The photo shows Tim, with Brian, receiving instruction from Okumura-sensei at the World Aikido Headquarters
"Hombu dojo" in Tokyo.
Professionally Tim teaches the Alexander Technique, a Western system concerned with freedom of movement, natural breathing, controlled reaction, and the idea of good postural coordination as a primary source of health. He hopes that his Alexander training shows in his Aikido! For
more information on the Alexander Technique visit Tim's website at www.the-alexander-technique.org.uk.
