Undergraduate degree schemes
Our BSc (Bachelor of Science) degrees take three years of full-time study, whereas the MEng (Master of Engineering) degree takes four years, including an industrial project in the final year.
- BSc Computer Science is a broad curiosity-driven (that is, you can choose to specialize without restrictions) degree. This degree leads to a qualification that will enable graduates to enter careers across the broad range of computing specialisms. It is our most popular degree
- MEng Computing is a four-year degree leading to a Masters qualification. This degree is aimed at those students who are committed to a career in the software development industry.
- BSc Computing and Communications is a degree that combines computing and digital communications (about 1/3).
- BSc Mathematics for Computer Science is about the fundamental mathematics foundation of computing.
- BSc Computer Science with Finance is aimed at those interested in a career in financial computing.
- BSc Computer Science and a Modern Language combines Computing with either French, German, Spanish, Italian or Welsh.
- The degrees BSc Physics and Computer Science and BSc Computing and Geoinformatics both combine computing with other subjects where natural links exists.
