PhD and MPhil Research Degrees

The department is always keen to attract high-quality postgraduate students to join our research groups. The Department has three main research groups.

• Visual and Interactive Computing
• Logic and Computation
• Future Interaction Technology

In addition, individual members of staff may have other research interests.

PhD or MPhil applicants must normally have an appropriate Masters degree, or the equivalent of a UK upper second class Bachelors degree (or better). Generally applicants should have a first degree in Computer Science. However, for some research projects, other, related, subjects may be acceptable. For example, Mathematics may be acceptable for a research degree in the Logic and Computation group.
