Swansea University’s campus location means that overnight accommodation is just a short walk of no more than 300 metres from the main conference and catering venues.
A variety of styles ensures that there is a choice of rooms to match most needs, from superior en-suite living accommodation for conferences and groups, through to self-catering rooms for social and sports events.
Campus accommodation includes over 270 rooms that have been rated 4*Campus by Visit Wales, and over 570 2* and 3*Campus rooms. Two new accommodation blocks, opening in September 2008, provide a further 350 high quality rooms. For summers from 2009 onwards approximately 800 of our rooms will have ensuite bathrooms. 42 will be twins. At Easter there are 187 ensuite rooms available, including 17 twin rooms.
The non ensuite bedrooms are in four blocks that comprise approximately 380 rooms sharing a shower and wc between two and five rooms.
Two miles to the northwest of the campus are the Hendrefoelan self-catering apartments, situated in a pleasant, wooded valley. Approximately 500 rooms are available to conference delegates over the summer period, ranging in size from four-bed apartments to 10-bed houses.
All bedrooms have a telephone, activated by using cards purchased from University outlets. Wireless internet is also available if booked in advance.
Many of the bedrooms have also been adapted to suit the needs of disabled delegates.
