The Centre was formed in 2006 through the Welsh Assembly Government’s initiative to create six regional centres across Wales to plan and develop excellence in Welsh for Adults provision. The South-West Wales Welsh for Adults Centre serves the counties of Neath Port Talbot, Swansea, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Through working in partnership with a number of organisations in these counties, the Centre offers a comprehensive programme of courses across the region. There are courses at all levels catering for people who want to start learning Welsh as well as those who wish to improve their Welsh or make further progress in their learning. You will also find a choice of class times and intensity. We also deliver a programme of Welsh in the Workplace courses for employers and we are developing a programme of Welsh for the Family courses for parents and others who want to learn to speak Welsh with children.
