DACE is committed to ensuring students from all walks of life are given the opportunity to learn in a safe, relaxed and friendly environment. We have carefully developed and integrated a range of projects into our programme of activity, which are aimed at specifically increasing participation in all communities across South West Wales.

With the Community Progression Project you can learn part-time and in your local area; you can develop your confidence and study skills so that you will be able to progress onto other higher education courses and even the part-time degree. This project is now complete and the funding has ceased. This project is now complete.

Study online for the Higher Education Certificate in Technology, Research and Innovation (TRIO) offered by the Department of Adult Continuing Education (DACE), Swansea University. If you run or work for an SME or Community Enterprise, or if you work in the Voluntary Sector, the TRIO Level 1 Certificate will help you to upgrade your technological and problem solving skills within your work environment. This project is now complete.

Aiming to widen access into high education across the whole student age range, the South West Wales Reaching Wider Partnership, which is based in DACE, organises learning and aspiration raising activities.

Parenting in a Multicultural European City, is a transnational project funded by the European Social Fund as a three year Grundtvig 1 project (from October 2006 – September 2009). There are eleven partners and the project is co-ordinated by DACE. This project is now complete.

Using the internet and inexpensive mp3 players, ESOL students working with IT tutors & a web & graphics team, will create web-based resources, including sound files to give them practice in language use; an additional resource to supplement their time in an ESOL class. This project is now complete.
