The Egypt Centre welcomes school parties but please book in advance to make sure that someone is here to help you. Phone Carolyn or Wendy on (01792) 295960.

We provide schools with a number of 'hands-on' activities such as making a 'mummy' or an offering table, Egyptian maths, dressing up and playing the Egyptian game of senet. Children are not expected to work on their own but take part in the activities with the Centre's assistants.

Our activities are aimed at the National Curriculum and include special

maths days, activities for religion, art, technology, etc.

We charge schools £1 a head for visiting the Centre which covers our photocopy costs.

We also have a small shop sales area with 'Egyptian' items for sale starting from 30p
