Swansea Employability Academy

Our Vision

Swansea Employability Academy supports and develops Employability, Entrepreneurship and Employee learning across the University.

We have four main strategies which will support our graduates in attaining graduate level employment:

  1. Review, with the support of employers, the structure and content of curricula to ensure that our diverse range of students develop the essential graduate attributes which make them employable.
  2. Develop entrepreneurial skills in all our graduates – a skill set which meets the requirements of SMEs and larger employers alike – and may result in the development of new enterprises in the region.
  3. Enhance the provision of careers and employability advice and guidance so that graduates have the skills necessary for seeking employment and can articulate their attributes in job applications and interviews.
  4. Challenge our students and take them out of their comfort zone, to develop a ‘can do’ attitude and to raise aspirations to find graduate level employment – which will entail developing a global perspective and may mean increasing mobility.
