The South-West Wales Region

This region is renowned for the beauty and diversity of its coastline which includes rocky shores and sandy bays around the mainland and island coasts, and extensive mudflats within estuaries. These varied coastal ecosystems support thousands of species including algae and flowering plants, invertebrates of many kinds, fish, birds and mammals.
