The Steel Training Research and Innovation Partnership - STRIP will help the Welsh metals and manufacturing companies succeed
How? By training high calibre people from both an academia and industrial background in metallurgy, corrosion, coatings, manufacturing, mechanical properties and more.
We can fund 8 MRes and 10 EngD projects per year. The MRes is a Masters qualification involving taught courses and a 10 month research project defined by the partnering company.
The EngD is a PhD level qualification that involves a taught component and a large, 4 year research project again defined by industry.
The MRes comes with a £12,500 bursary and the EngD comes with a £16,600 per annum bursary paid by us.
Not interested in a student? We can also offer two day, technical training courses - click here for the list of Taught courses we offer. The cost of each course is £200 - the 1st person from your company is free!
The STRIP programme is an excellent way of tapping into the knowledge, expertise and equipment residing in the University. For the student it is an excellent way of gaining high level qualifications without accruing debt!
