Current STRIP Students
This section is for students currently enrolled on the STRIP programme. It should be your first stop for day to day information on running your project.
Steel Processing slides 17th and 18th October
The STRIP guide has been out together to help students on the scheme run the projects on a day to day basis and compliments the post graduate handbook and the student contract
Below are some templates you will need during your project and guidance on how to complete them
Signed copies of your timesheets must be handed in to Bev Williams no later than 3 working days after the months end. You must record time spent with academic and industrial supervisors. We expect that you would record at least 7 hours a month with both your academic and industrial supervisors. More than three instances of late submission of timesheets will lead to the loss of bonus payments
This Travel form must be completed before any travel (home or abroad) can be booked. Download to form, fill in the travel details and then send to your theme leader. They will then set a visit report due date and send it to the EngD / MRes admin office where all the travel arrangements will be made (booking hotel rooms, hiring cars etc.) You will settle your own hotel bill, retain the receipt and then fill in the expense claim. Expense claims should be submitted to EngD MRes admin office for processing.
This has been filled in to represent a typical claim. Please enter your own information when submitting a claim. It is important that details of the expenses are entered on the form along with why they were incurred so that the cost can be justified. If the expenses were incurred travelling then a visit report must be submitted to your theme leader before they can be paid. All expenses must be supported by receipts, which should be attached to the claim.
This has been filled in order to illustrate how to complete the form. It is important that details of the order are entered on the form along with why the order is required so that the cost can be justified.
Workshop job request this needs to be completed before the workshop can undertake any jobs. This form should be submitted to Bev Williams BEFORE the job commences
All reprographics jobs should be done using the STRIP office equipment and not the central engineering equipment
The theme report should be completed before the quarterly Corus theme reviews. The reports should be emailed to the nominated theme secretary a minimum of a week before the theme review date.
