Scholarships
The School of Engineering has a number of scholarships available. Some of these are funded by Swansea University, some are funded by the School of Engineering and others are collaborative funding from public bodies.
PhD Scholarships in Multi-Disciplinary Modelling
Applications are invited to the Civil and Computational Research Centre from UK and EU students to study for a PhD in the field of Multi-Disciplinary Modelling in Engineering.
International student scholarships for all undergraduate and postgraduate schemes
These scholarships are available to international students (non UK or EU) with a wide range of backgrounds and qualifications and are managed by the university’s International Office.
Undergraduate Excellence Scholarships for UK and EU students
These scholarships are available to UK/EU students who achieve AAA at A level, 36 at IB or equivalent qualifications.
Undergraduate Scholarships for Materials Engineering for UK, EU and international students
Due to the strength of its links with industry, Materials Engineering is able to offer a number of scholarships and prizes to students. These include entrance scholarships of up to £1500 for those with high A level grades (or equivalent qualifications). Scholarships are automatically awarded to all qualifying students, rather than on a competitive basis.
Undergraduate Sporting Scholarships
These scholarships are open to any student who is at an elite athlete level, winning national and international competitions, and who has the potential to become world-class. Each year, we offer ten undergraduate entrance scholarships worth £1,000 a year (renewable for three years) to help our outstanding athletes cover their training costs, kit, track fees, and travel.
Zienkiewicz Scholarships 2010/11 Entry - Elite PhDs in Engineering for international students
Scholarships include full tuition fees paid plus a generous bursary. Please note that applications for these scholarships are currently closed. Please check back for updates as there is a possible further round of applications later in the year.
MSc Scholarships for UK and EU students
A range of scholarships are available including Swansea University Masters Scholarships towards the cost of tuition fees and scholarships within the Access to Masters (ATM) scheme which cover fees and a bursary towards living costs
MRes, MPhil and PhD Scholarships for UK and EU students
There are a range of scholarships available for these schemes including individual PhD and MPhil projects funded by research councils and MRes opportunities funded through the KESS scheme.
EngD and MRes Rolls-Royce UTC scholarships for UK and EU students
Scholarships for this scheme are currently all filled for 2010/2011. Please check back to the site for details of 2011/2012 places.
EngD Steels Training Research and Innovation Partnership Scholarships for UK and EU students
Steels Training Research and innovations partnership - STRIP aims to address the higher level skills gaps to enable the creation of next-generation high level employees equipped with expertise in new technology essential for increasing productivity, minimising environmental impact and with the capacity to develop novel products essential for the creation of a Sustainable Steel Industry in Wales.
