    Erasmus Work Placements

As an alternative to an Erasmus Study Placement in one of our partner Universities, students can choose to do an Erasmus Work Placement. The placement must take place in another state participating in the Lifelong Learning Programme (EU, EEA or Turkey).  Students are encouraged to find their own work placement opportunities; the placement can be paid or voluntary. The details of the work placement need to be agreed between the host organisation and your academic department in advance.

    British Council Teaching Assistant

Language students can also opt to do a British Council Teaching Assistantship (in another state participating in the Lifelong Learning Programme - EU, EEA or Turkey). From the 2008/09 academic year these will also fall under the Erasmus scheme and eligible students taking part will benefit from the Erasmus Mobility grant. Read about a student's experience as a Language Assistant through Erasmus here.
