Card Entry to the Library Starting in January
Pilot: Evening Card Entry to Library starting in January
Over the past 18 months, the Library has been investigating ways to implement card entry to the Library building. We are pleased to announce that on the 2nd January, the Library will be introducing a pilot for card entrance to the Library in the evenings. You will need to bring your student or staff ID card to the building during select hours for entry. Visitor entrance will be maintained by buzzing in at the entrance and registering with Security in the Library foyer.
The start of the new year brings 24 hour opening for examination preparations. During this time, 2nd-17th January, we will be implementing card entrance to the building from 10pm-6am. During regular term time the building will be restricted from 10pm-2am. We hope that this will allow the Library and its many services to be open and inclusive for our community, whilst at the same time being safe and exclusive to our students and staff in the evening for study.
