Through Blackboard it is possible to submit essays or other papers to the Turnitin UK Plagiarism Detection service. This requires instructors to set up Turnitin submission entries in a Blackboard course or Module site. The students then submit papers themselves. (It is also possible for a lecturer to submit an assignment directly). There is no need for staff to have Turnitin accounts created for them as this is handled automatically in Blackboard. The Blackboard Knowledge base, accessible from the HELP tab on any Blackboard page, including the Blackboard Welcome page, gives more detailed information about creating and managing Turnitin assignments.
