Help is at Hand
Microsoft has developed a Help tab (an add in) which can be downloaded from their website containing many features such as: Search, Find commands from Office 2003, Tips and Online training.  

Where have all the menu commands in Office 2003 gone?
Wondering where the menu commands in Office 2003 applications have moved to?  Microsoft have produced a series of interactive command reference guides which may save you time looking for commands which have moved location and/or no longer exist :

New to Office 2007 - need some help in getting started 
There are many visual changes between Office XP/2003 and Office 2007; most notable is the Office Fluent user interface which replaces; menus, toolbars and most of the task panes that were used in the earlier versions with a Ribbon. 

 What's New? A quick Look

• Help is an additional tab for staff & students using Office 2007 on campus, replacing the Get Started tab. Please follow uninstall instruction if  you have already installed Get Started tab prior to installing the Help tab.
• Help is no longer on the main toolbar but is located in an icon in the top right hand corner of the window, although the F1 key still works.
• The Office button - the top left corner of the window replaces the File Menu from earlier versions and contains the file operations such as; save,  print, print preview and page options.  The example below uses the Word application
  
   

Beware! some issues
Don't forget not everyone has Office 2007! 

• Compatability
   By default Office 2007 saves files in a new format that previous versions may not be able to open.  If you are unsure that person to whom you are sending/sharing a file has Office 2007 then it would better to save the files in a format that can be opened by previous versions of the software.  In Office 2007 you can save files in 97-2003 format,  files opened or saved in previous versions are described as being in Compatibility Mode.   The Compatibility Checker will open automatically if you have used features that are not supported in earlier versions of Office when you try to save.
• Don't have Office 2007 at home?
  Install the Compatibility Pack along side of Microsoft Office XP, or Office 2003, you will be able open, edit, save, and create files using the Open XML Formats new to the Microsoft Office 2007 system.  Visit the Microsoft wesite for further information Compatability Pack.
• Need a copy Office 2007 for you home computer?
  Members of staff can bring their laptop/home pc to IT support where we can load Office 2007 to enable you to work at home.  Alternativley you could buy Office 2007, Microsoft were offering a full copy of Microsoft Office 2007 Ultimate Edition for £38.95 which was available to end of June 2010 for university students & staff with an .ac.uk email address.  Although this offer has expired and been replaced by a similar offer for Office 2010 it is  worth a visit the Microsoft site to find the best prices on offer for their products, for example Software4Students.co.uk have Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 on offer for £49.
