Student Concern Policy

If you are concerned that there is an immediate risk of harm to any individual, please contact any supervising clinician or dial 999.

The College of Medicine takes its responsibilities to students, patients, staff and others very seriously. A vital part of ensuring that they are both protected and supported is the College's ability to be able to respond quickly and appropriately to any concerns about its medical students.

The Student Concern Form is the first step in this process and can be filled in by anyone who is concerned about a Swansea University medical student. This includes members of the public, patients, carers, relatives, members of staff or students at Swansea University, the NHS and other organisations.  The form can be downloaded from this page or, alternatively, paper copies can be collected from any clinical teaching site.

Concerns of any nature should be reported, including those related to a student's welfare and health as well as his/her conduct.  Full instructions are on the form itself and the Student Concern Policy details the full process by which concerns are investigated.  If you have any questions please call the College of Medicine Education Unit on 01792 513400.
