Research Interests

I started my research career at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. At Karolinska I was
classically trained as a protein/lipid biochemist, becoming well versed in protein/lipid
purification and analysis techniques. I am particularly interested in protein-lipid
interactions and investigating the function of the bioactive lipids, such as oxysterols.
My current research concentrates on how oxysterols stimulate ERK and Sonic
Hedgehog signalling pathways and their effect on neurons.
