Professor Mike Charlton is part of the world's first team to trap antimatter in the form of antihydrogen.  He is  the holder of a prestigious EPSRC Senior Research Fellowship to measure the properties of antimatter and was elected Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales in 2011.
