Swansea University - Independent Visits

Making an Independent Visit to the University

If you are unable to attend one of our organised postgraduate events, you are welcome to make an independent visit to the University at any time.

Our self-guided tour pack contains all of the information you will need to make an independent visit to the University. Please click below to download the pack in PDF format (please download both documents). We also suggest that you print a copy of the campus map to help you navigate your way around the University campus:

Visiting academic departments:

If you wish to visit a particular department during your visit, please contact them in advance to make any necessary arrangements. Contact details for the Postgraduate Admissions Tutor may be found in the Postgraduate prospectus or on each School web page

When to visit:

If you wish to view departments and facilities you may find a weekday visit more beneficial since the majority of buildings and facilities are closed at the weekend.

The University remains open during vacations, with the majority of postgraduate students remaining during that time, and you are welcome to visit then, although you should be aware that during this time the campus is likely to be quiet and some of the usual facilities may not be open.
