Print FM:
Knowledge Transfer Centre for the Printing
of Functional Materials |

With open access facilities supporting the use of
printing as a major disruptive technology for efficient, environmentally
friendly advanced manufacturing for applications as diverse as automotive,
garments, packaging and point of care medical diagnostics. This complements the
existing support that the WCPC already offers to companies on areas such as
quality and productivity improvements, process mapping and solutions to specific
problems.

Graphic Arts in Manufacture
(GAIM) KEP will be based on themed special interest groups (SIGs) which
explore new market opportunities, establish potential markets,
technology hurdles and routes to exploitation. This project builds on
the WCPC (Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating) expertise in the
technology of graphic printing in a knowledge exchange programme with
the artistic strengths in design, fabric, ceramics, architectural glass
and fine art of Swansea Metropolitan University and Coleg Sir Gar.

Fast2light |
|
Fast2light is a European
consortium for the development of novel, cost-effective,
high-throughput, roll-to-roll, large area deposition processes for
fabricating light-emitting polymer-OLED foils for intelligent lighting
applications. The consortium consists of 14 partners from 8 countries,
with every partner been chosen for being a European leader in their area
of expertise with an added value for Fast2Light.
