Ian Thomas is a University of Wales MBA graduate who returned to Wales 10 years ago following a successful career in the commercial sector based around London and the South East. Ian directs the Taught Postgraduate Programmes within the School of Business and Economics which involves overseeing the design, delivery and development of the MSc and MBA programmes. This role requires extensive overseas travel as part of the School's aim to internationalise the School's activities and programmes, and has included the establishment of a number of international institutional partnerships.

Since moving into the higher education sector, Ian also has gained extensive experience of the MBA accreditation processes, both from the institutional perspective and through the experience of being a member of the Association of MBAs assessment panel.
