Professor Michael D. Williams

Specialist Subjects: Information Systems, e-Business, e-Government, Management Information Systems, Change management

Appointed in 2001, previously having held full-time academic posts at institutions including the University of Glamorgan, and the University of Sheffield, and a part-time post at the Open University Business School. Prior to entering academia Dr. Williams spent, twelve years developing and implementing information systems in a variety of domains in both public and private sectors for organizations including British Telecom, Chartered Trust PLC (now part of Lloyds TSB), and Canon UK LTD.Dr. Williams is the author of numerous fully refereed and invited papers covering a variety of areas within the information systems domain. His current research interests are focused primarily upon the areas of evaluating the use and impact of information and communications technology, with particular interests in the areas of e-business and e-commerce.
