I was responsible for the management and development of primary health care programmes for: Aymara Indians in the altiplano, department of La Paz, Bolivia; Rainforest Indians and rubber tappers in Western Acre and Southern Amazonas, Western Amazonia, Brazil; Rainforest Indians in the Rio Negro, North Eastern Amazonia, Brazil; Rural communities in the departments of Pando and Beni, Bolivia; Quechua Indians in the department of Ayacucho, Peru; Rural communities in the RAAN, Nicaragua; Rural communities in the department of Chalatenango, El Salvador; Maya Indians in the departments of Totonicapan and Quiche, Western Guatemala, Rural communities in the department of San Miguel, El Salvador
