University Dental Care offers a full range of NHS and Private treatments. It is open to students, staff, the general public, and families. NHS spaces are available to students who register at the start of the academic term, but places are limited.

The service runs throughout the year, including vacations.

All patients under the age of 25 living in Wales are entitled to Free dental examinations. Please note that charges are made for any other dental treatment under the NHS unless the patient is under the age of 19 (in full time education) or has an Exemption Certificate - claim forms for help with health costs are available at the surgery.

It is important that you register with a dentist as soon as you arrive in Swansea in order to access NHS care and the benefit of early appointments in case of problems or emergencies.  Registration is free to all patients under 25.  There is a small charge of £14.70 for students over 25.

Private treatment is available for patients who would like to benefit from Private Care on a pay as you go basis or by joining the Practice Care Plan.

PLEASE NOTE THAT REGISTRATION WITH THE DENTAL SURGERY IS SEPARATE FROM REGISTRATION WITH THE HEALTH CENTRE
