Sri Lanka Entry Requirements

Undergraduate Programmes: 

Candidates are expected to have achieved a General Certificate of Education (Advanced level) - Three A Levels or equivalent.  Minimum grades - BCC - AAB but it will depend on the course; including IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in each part of the test (or equivalent). Postgraduate Programmes:  

Successful completion of a relevant Bachelors degree from a recognised institution with a minimum of a Second Class Lower Division or equivalent: Bachelor Special/Professional: Second Class Lower Division or CGPA 3.0 or Grade B | Bachelor General: Second Class Upper Division or CGPA 3.3 or Grade B+ including IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in each part of the test (or equivalent).

How to Apply

Online directly: you can submit an application form using our online system.  You will be required to send us your transcripts, English language certificates and a personal statement.

Through an agent: We have a carefully selected number of agents representing Swansea University who can support you with your application for study, accommodation and the UK visa. 

Please remember that offers can take up to 15 days to be processed. Please email us if you have still not received an offer

Swansea University offer partial scholarships to excellent students. Scholarship information and applications usually open in Spring and close in July. To be eligible to apply for a scholarship, you must have submitted an application to study at Swansea University as you will need your student number to complete the scholarship form.  

If you wish to be considered for a scholarship, it is advised that you should to apply to study at Swansea University as soon as possible to avoid any possible delays.
