A professional leadership development programme, designed to enhance the leadership skills of leaders and owner-managers of small to medium sized business, is hosting a two free preview events on Wednesday 5 March and Wednesday 19 March, 7.30 – 9.30am, Waterton Centre, Bridgend CF31 3WT.
The event will focus on how Swansea University’s LEAD Wales programme has helped businesses across Wales increase their turnover by an average of 26% per year.
A recent graduate from the programme, Steve Edmunds, Managing Director, Cottam & Brookes Engineering Worldwide, said: "I needed to take a step back from the business. There are very few people you can discuss your company with in confidence in everyday life, but with LEAD Wales you are able to do that. It has enabled me to change the way I think, as well as the way I work."
LEAD Wales Project Manager Gary Walpole said: “I would encourage businesses across South West Wales to take advantage of our preview events to find out how our programme can benefit their business. About LEAD Wales
The programme is a fully-funded leadership development programme designed to develop and enhance the leadership skills of SME leaders, owner-managers and directors who are located in the Wales Convergence region.
The £8 million programme is supported by Welsh Government, delivered by Swansea University’s Department of Research & Innovation and Bangor University’s Business School and includes £5 million from the European Social Fund.
Eligibility
- Be the leader or owner-manager of a company or social enterprise
- Located within the Wales convergence region
- Traded for two years or more
- Employ at least 4 staff
