On Monday 25th April Samaritans Cymru announced the appointment of Professor Keith Lloyd as the new chair of Samaritans Cymru Board.
Professor Keith Lloyd has been a member of Samaritans Cymru Board since 2012 and has worked collaboratively with Samaritans Cymru through the National Advisory Group to Welsh Government on Suicide and Self-harm prevention.
Sarah Stone, Executive Director for Wales said:
“We welcome Keith to the important post of Chair. He has been an invaluable member of Samaritans Cymru Board and we look forward to working together and drawing on his expertise in the field”
Keith has replaced Christopher Mill this April, who stepped down after holding the post for three years. On his appointment, Keith said:
“It is a great privilege to have the opportunity to help Samaritans Cymru deliver on its vision to reduce the feelings of distress and crisis that can lead to suicide”.
