The Marketing Team for the Medical School has recently been joined by some new faces. Along with existing remits the team now has resource to increase its offering.

Sian Longden – Marketing Officer (Postgraduate and International)
Sian leads on the marketing and recruitment activities for the Medical School’s Postgraduate Taught and Research programmes planning and coordinating open days, recruitment and conversion events for prospective students together with promotional materials and marketing campaigns to support them. Working closely with the University’s Marketing, International, Student Recruitment, Admissions and Communications teams, Sian ensures that Medical School activities are aligned with University strategies to rapidly increase student numbers.

Paula Williams- Student and Stakeholder Experience Officer
Paula joined the Marketing team at the end of 2015 having worked as a qualified Careers Advisor within Swansea University for over 15 years. Her new role has been created to develop student and stakeholder experience and to coordinate planned events, outreach activities and Alumni development for the Medical School.

Emma Turner – Marketing Officer (Events)
Emma has worked for the Medical School for a number of years. She leads on planning and delivery for all major events for the Medical School, from Graduation celebrations, the Annual Awards Dinner, conferences and scientific workshops, as well as external visits. Working closely with other University departments and key partners to build the brand and repetition of the Medical School, Emma is the point of contact for all media enquires within the team and maintains the social media feeds. The e-newsletter is a new addition to the communication tools of the Marketing team and will be coordinated by Emma.

Rhiannon Davies – Marketing Assistant for International Recruitment
Rhiannon joined the Marketing Team in early 2016 to support the Medical School and wider University’s International Recruitment goals. Rhiannon works closely with the University’s International Development Office and affiliate organisations to create a number of profile raising campaigns, to increase both Undergraduate and Postgraduate international students numbers.

Zdravka Kamenova – Student Employability and Mobility Officer
Zdravka joined the Marketing Team at the end of 2015 to develop opportunities for students at the Medical School to improve their employability. Working closely with the Swansea Employability Academy (SEA) and University’s International Development Office, she is educating prospective and current students about the opportunities available to them, such as work or study placements and University-wide initiatives. An experienced Careers Advisor, she is also delivering one-to-one and group information sessions.

Rachel Smith – Marketing Officer (Undergraduate and Graduate Entry Medicine Recruitment)
Rachel leads on the marketing and recruitment activities for the Medical School’s BSc, MSci and Graduate Entry Medicine programmes, planning and coordinating open days, recruitment and conversion events for prospective students together with promotional materials and marketing campaigns to support them. Working closely with the University’s Student Recruitment, Admissions and Communications teams, Rachel ensures that Medical School activities are aligned with University strategies to rapidly increase student numbers.

Jane John – Office Manager
Jane joined the Marketing Team in 2015. Jane leads on the management of the administrative service to the Medical School marketing team and St David Medical Foundation. Working closely with colleagues across the Medical School Jane is responsible for the co-ordination of the School’s ambassador programme.
