College of Science hosts 10th annual Glamorgan Recorders’ Forum

The College of Science will host the 10th annual Glamorgan Recorders’ Forum on Saturday 18th February 2012.

Date: Saturday 18th February 2012

Time: 10.00am – 4.30pm (approximately)

Venue: Wallace Joint Lecture Theatre/Wallace Foyer, Wallace Building, Swansea University.


Event summary:  The event is organised by South East Wales Biodiversity Records Centre (SEWBReC) in conjunction with Advanced Professional Training in Bioscience and the Conservation Ecology Research Team Swansea (CERTS) on behalf of the Glamorgan Biodiversity Advisory Group (GlamBAG).

The forum is an event for recorders, ecologists, biodiversity officers, and naturalists to get together, network, listen to presentations, and discuss biological recording issues. 

The event will include a complimentary lunch for attendees, as well as the opportunity to meet others who are active in biological recording in Glamorgan.

Speakers: Presentations will include ‘Biological Recording: an Academic’s Perspective’ by Dr Neil Price and Dr Dan Forman (APT/CERTS, Swansea University), ‘Subterranean Aquatic Ecology of Vale of Glamorgan’ by Gareth Farr (Environment Agency), ‘Bats and Bikes Project’ by Richard Dodd, ‘Recording at Oxwich’ by Ffion Davies (CERTS, Swansea University) and ‘The next fifty years for the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales’ by Rob Parry (WTSWW).
