Conference examines Medievalism in Wales

Swansea University’s Department of History and Classics will hold a conference on 'Medievalism in Wales' on Friday, October 12 and Saturday, October 13, at Sketty Hall, Swansea.

The two-day event is organised in association with and supported by The Learned Society of Wales, and the Institute of Medieval and early Modern Studies, Medium Aevum, the Swansea Branch of the Historical Association, and the Friends of the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery.

Speakers at the conference include Jane Aaron (University of Glamorgan), Martin Crampin (Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies), Ceri Davies (Swansea University), Sioned Davies (Cardiff University), Elizabeth Edwards (Centre for Advanced Celtic Studies), Medeleine Gray (Newport University), Simon Green (Royal Commission for Ancient and Historic Monuments, Scotland), Dafydd Johnston (Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies), Diana Luft (Cardiff University), Roberta Magnani (Swansea University), Huw Pryce (Bangor University), David Robinson (English Heritage), Matthew Williams (Cardiff Castle) and Juliette Wood (Cardiff University).
