The SIM Wales project at Swansea University will host a free event for companies and individuals wishing to learn more about implementing and managing innovation on Thursday, June 30, at the University’s Bay Campus.

The half-day event, from 1pm until 4pm, will be held in Lecture Theatre CBE 010 in the School of Management building, and will outline the success of the SIM Wales programme in developing the innovation capacity of manufacturing businesses.

The event’s keynote speakers are Scott Waddington, Chief Executive of SA Brains and Wales Commissioner to the UK Commission for Employment and Skills and Nick Rich, Professor of Operations Management at Swansea University’s School of Management.

The event will also discuss the challenges of developing and sustaining innovation management and give attendees an opportunity to ask questions on any aspect of innovation management.

The SIM Wales project, funded by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, is based within the University's Research, Engagement & Innovation Services (REIS), and is designed and delivered a pilot experiential based ‘innovation management’ programme, for a group of 10 manufacturers in Wales.

The programme was delivered by Swansea University in partnership with the Engineering Employers Forum and Industry Wales.

Tickets for the event are free and available through Eventbrite here.
