Planning and Performance Management Team

The Planning and Performance Management Team works collaboratively to support the University in developing and presenting its strategic vision through the translation of vision into operational activity through the University’s Strategic Plan.

In supporting the University’s aspiration of sustainable and continued growth, the Planning and Performance Management Team work with key partners across the University to develop, deliver and refine critical strategic business processes such as the business planning and resource allocation process, the approach to gathering business intelligence and the core delivery mechanisms for strategic priorities through an implementation plan.

Working to embed a culture of continuous improvement, the team has a well-defined role in assimilating, analysing and communicating management information to support effective decision-making at all levels. The team works to ensure that those who are tasked with making decisions have timely, accurate and succinct information.

Operating in an ever-changing environment, the team ensures that the views of the University are represented appropriately in formal consultations and engagements with the funding council and Welsh Government.

The Planning and Performance Management Team adopts a whole organisation approach across the full range of University activity – research, student experience, knowledge-led economy and society. The work of the team can largely be split into three categories:
