Jean-Robert Cadet, a former child slave and campaigner for the end of the 'restavec' system in Haiti, will be visiting us for the day
Jean-Robert has served as a member of the UN Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery. He has collaborated on several documentaries and has testified before the United Nations and the US Congress regarding his experience as a survivor of slavery. He has been featured on Oprah, 60 Minutes, and CNN. This is Jean-Robert's first ever visit to the UK.
