Current staff and students have access to a range of software via the Unified Desktop/'Zenworks'.
This can only be accessed when using a Swansea University networked PC or staff laptop. This loads when you login or can be searched for via the Start Menu. The unified desktop also has a number of Assistive Technology products available.
Microsoft Office 365
All registered students and current members of staff at Swansea University are entitled to free copies of Microsoft Office 365 on their own PCs or mobile devices.
The software will be valid throughout your time as a student or member of staff at Swansea University. The software is available for Windows and Mac users, and can be installed on up to five devices.

Students also have access to other software via digital media (DVDs, CDs) available at the Customer Service Desk at the Information Desks in the Bay and Singleton Libraries. Students can also loan an external disk drive if required. Software available includes :

Matlab for Students - Matlab is a high-level language interactive environment and is available as a download for students. Access MatLab - Instructions for Matlab Downloads (a Blackboard login will be required to access the link).
If a member of staff requires specific software, this needs to be requested via their department as a Service Desk request. Staff can also loan some software from the Information Desks in the Bay and Singleton Libraries and access details on how to download Mathematica from the Customer Service Team.
