Information Services and Systems (ISS) delivers research, learning, employability, cultural and administrative services to our large and diverse University community. Excellence in education and research drives everything we do; we apply our specialist and professional knowledge, skills and creativity to deliver effective services and solutions, and we act as teachers, guides and advisers to our users, supporting them in their academic and research work.

Libraries and Archives

Swansea University Libraries and Archives provide a high-quality service to students, staff and visitors.   Our libraries support teaching, learning and research activities across the University and offer the latest technology, facilities and training.  We also hold archives, which include collections that document the rich culture and heritage of Wales.

IT Services

IT Services provide digital and technological support to staff, students and visitors for research, teaching and learning.  Our service includes communication tools that facilitate collaboration for research, support for your computing devices, development of IT applications, as well as an audio visual service for teaching and media activities.

Swansea Employability Academy

The Swansea Employability Academy supports students in their journey towards a successful graduate career.  The Academy provides professional careers advice, employer talks, workshops, careers fairs, a range of placement schemes and promotes employer networking opportunities with students.

Swansea Academy of Learning and Teaching

Swansea Academy for Learning and Teaching (SALT) enhances learning and teaching through pedagogic research and the promotion of good practice.  This is facilitated through technology, workshops and conferences.  SALT supports E-Learning through Blackboard and other tools that help with assessment, feedback and collaboration.

Culture and Arts

Swansea University supports the cultural and artistic life of the region through a rich and varied programme of activities, run in collaboration with external organisations, student societies and colleges. The Taliesin Arts Centre, the Great Hall, and the Egypt Centre allow us to present innovative and engaging performances, and a wide range of cultural and arts activities.
