Between the hours of 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday, parking on our campuses and bay studios is reserved for pay to park or annual permit holders only.

Our designated car parks at Bay Studios and both Singleton and Bay Campus operates an Automatic Numberplate Recognition (ANPR) system, which means that anyone parking on campus without a valid permit between 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday, will receive a parking charge notice.

If you are dropping someone off on campus, you have a 20 minute window to allow you to do this.

Parking Close to Campus

There is parking available close to our campuses, please see the information below for each campus:

During 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday, if, for some reason, you are unable to use the parking facilities nearby, you should talk to the individual or facility you are visiting. They may have special arrangements in place for their visitors:

  • If you are visiting Taliesin, please contact them directly.
  • If you are visiting the Egypt Centre, please contact them directly.
  • If you are visiting the Dentist, please contact them directly.
  • If you are visiting the Health and Wellbeing Academy, please contact them directly.
  • If you are visiting the University Health Centre, please contact them directly.
  • If you are an event delegate attending an event on campus, please contact the event organiser directly, or visit our events website.
  • If you are a contractor, please speak to your University contact or visit our contractor webpages.

On Campus Out of Hours parking

On Campus Parking, weekday evenings 4pm-8am and 4pm Friday to 8am Monday*.

During weekday evenings (from 4pm until 8am the next morning) and over the weekend (from 4pm Friday, up until 8am Monday), visitors can park on campus. However visitors to campus will be required to pay to park using the app or pay meters. Anyone parking without a valid permit or without paying the correct fee to cover the duration of their stay, will receive a parking charge notice.

*It is important to remember that between the hours of 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, our campus parking is reserved for University pay to park or annual permit holders only.

Parking on Campus costs

Parking on campus costs:

  • £2.00 for 4 hours from the time of payment
  • £3.50 for 24 hours (not including 8am-4pm Monday to Friday when there is no parking on campus for non-permit holders)
  • £2 for overnight parking from 1600 hrs to 0800hrs

Parking Charge Notices

Swansea University operates a Car Parking Management Scheme which is administered by Total Parking Solutions in order to control unauthorised vehicular access and inappropriate parking.  Providing such control is essential to ensure that the campus functions safely and efficiently and helps to provide improved security, access and availability for permit holders.
