Supporting the wellbeing of our sporting scholars

We are delighted to be working together with Sporting Wellness to support the mental health and well-being of our sport scholars.

Through Sporting Wellness, our sport scholars get access to free, confidential, 24/7/365 support which includes:

  • A 24/7/365 support line for over-the-phone counselling
  • Structured counselling sessions
  • Access to in-house legal advisors
  • Access to LiveChat or email counselling
  • Extensive self-help resources
  • An Online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Programme

This fantastic package of confidential support covers a broad spectrum of mental health challenges, providing professional help, no matter how big or small the issue.

In addition to this, the team at Sporting Wellness will also deliver on-site talks at Swansea University and workshops to educate our scholars about positive mental health and emotional well-being, as well as collaborating with us on awareness raising campaigns throughout the year.

Our new relationship with Sport Swansea is another significant step forward towards ensuring as many representative athletes in the UK have access to professional mental health and well-being support.
