The School of Management played host to a dynamic and career-enhancing event as the ACCA Advantage Speed Networking Event took place on the 29th of February.

With well over 50 enthusiastic students in attendance, the event aimed to expand student professional networks and provide invaluable opportunities to meet potential ACCA employers seeking placements and graduate positions.

The event showcased a diverse array of esteemed employers eager to engage with the next generation of accounting professionals. Among the distinguished companies present were Ashmole and Co, ICON, KPMG (Jersey), Network Rail, DVLA, NHS Finance, and the Moracle Foundation.

The fast-paced nature of the event facilitated efficient networking, allowing students to gain insights into building a successful career in accounting while interacting directly with employers. The agenda featured various engaging sessions, including insights into the world of accountancy, information about the ACCA Advantage program, and speed networking sessions with ACCA employers. Moreover, attendees had the opportunity to engage in general networking activities while enjoying refreshments provided.

Feedback from ICON, one of the participating employers, highlighted the event's positive impact on both students and industry professionals. They expressed appreciation for the well-targeted nature of the event and praised its structured approach, which included panel sessions and networking opportunities tailored to student needs.
