Alex Attwal, a Swansea University School of Management alumnus, achieves outstanding results in recent ICAEW exams, receiving prestigious awards.
In a remarkable academic feat, former Swansea University student Alex Attwal has received high honours in the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) professional exams, earning recognition for his exceptional performance. Alex, who completed his BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance at the School of Management in 2021, has recently been awarded the Spicer and Peglier Prize and the Howitt Prize for his outstanding results in Financial Accounting and Reporting (June 2022) and Financial Management (June 2023), respectively.
Alex Attwal, now a Senior Associate in Banking and Capital Markets at PwC, shared his excitement about this remarkable achievement. "I was both honoured and humbled to receive two ICAEW professional exam prizes over the past year. To receive both was pretty awesome. I do not think anyone can ever come out of an exam thinking I have done that well to come top worldwide, but to actually receive the news was thrilling, albeit a good few evenings and weekends were sacrificed!"
Alex attributes a significant part of his success to the outstanding education he received at Swansea University's School of Management.
