Professor Dwivedi, who currently holds the position of Professor of Digital Marketing and Innovation, Head of Digital Futures for Sustainable Business & Society Research Group, and Founding Director of the Emerging Markets Research Centre (EMaRC), at the School of Management, has garnered accolades and admiration throughout his illustrious career.
The Latin phrase "Honoris Causa," which translates to "for the sake of the honour," epitomises the significance of this prestigious accolade. It recognises individuals who have exhibited exceptional dedication to their profession and contributed significantly to their respective fields.
In the case of Professor Yogesh Dwivedi, this honour is not just a reflection of his academic prowess but also a recognition of his role as a mentor to countless early-career researchers. The proposal to award Professor Dwivedi with this honorary doctorate was put forth by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at the "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galați. This collaboration represents a close partnership between the university and Professor Dwivedi, with one of its highlights being his role as the keynote speaker at the International Conference "Risk in Contemporary Economy" hosted by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration in April 2023.
