About

Ms Sam Treacy is currently a Research Officer at the Centre for Military Gambling Research, Swansea University.

She is in the process of completing a PhD on the communications of the Northern Ireland Executive regarding paramilitaries and paramilitarism. Her previous research has been in the areas of communications campaigns seeking to prevent/counter violent extremism, people aging in prison, and mental health services, interventions and evaluation, at Swansea University, University of Cambridge, University of York and King’s College London.

Career Highlights

Teaching Interests

Sam has taught seminars on the Victims and Victimology, and Crime, Drugs and Alcohol modules, on the BSc Criminology course at Swansea University, and has been a teaching assistant on modules regarding terrorism and homicide.
